Compass Expands Expertise and Creates Scholarship Opportunity
Adds Further Expertise to Cyber Security Practice Group and Introduces Scholarship to the Johns Hopkins University’s Information Security Institute
Baltimore, MD – Comprehensive Applied Security Solutions (COMPASS) today announced the addition of Mr. Matt Voss as Senior Information Security Engineer and Assessment Lead. Mr. Voss will lead all cyber security assessments to include vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, social engineering, and network infrastructure architecture analyses.

Mr. Voss has extensive experience in performing security assessments and risk-based analysis of information systems, designing and implementing vulnerability management solutions, and assessing and analyzing network traffic for active intrusion attempts for the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security information systems. Prior to joining COMPASS, he served as a Lead Information Security Engineer for the Department of Defense, designing and deploying virtualized security solutions and vulnerability management tools.

COMPASS is also pleased to announce the creation of a graduate student scholarship at the Johns Hopkins University’s Information Security Institute. This scholarship will serve to further the studies of a graduate student in the field of information security. This scholarship was made possible through the proceeds generated by COMPASS and JHUISI’s annual executive cyber security conference. Robert Olsen explains: “The creation of this scholarship further demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the local community and expanding the workforce of information security professionals.”
